| Four new species of the genus Rubus are described, all growing in the NE. of the Netherlands. Rubus contritidens resembles R. egrerius Focke, but is a stronger plant with 5-nate leaves and wide petals. Rubus drenthicus resembles R. ferocior Weber but has mostly white petals and yellowish to brownish styles, and its leaves are usually not convex. Rubus aphidifer and R. passionis are typical representatives of the series Subidaei Focke ex Hayek: Corylifolii with purple small prickles. Both are glandular and allied to R. phoenicacanthus Beek. Rubus aphidifer is almost unarmed, with a very wide upper leaf, R. passionis has rather strong, compressed prickles and a suborbicular upper leaf. |

| A new species, Rubus vandebeekii K. Meijer, is described here. It occurs in the region in the very south of the Netherlands and adjacent regions of Belgium and Germany. In Zuid-Limburg en aangrenzend Duitsland en België komen veel karakteristieke soorten voor. Dit geldt ook voor het genus Rubus L. Veel van deze soorten zijn reeds beschreven, maar tijdens recent onderzoek bleek dat een kleine braam blijkbaar steeds over het hoofd wordt gezien. Er is niets over te vinden in de literatuur en er zijn ook geen collecties in herbaria, waarschijnlijk doordat de planten klein en onopvallend zijn. Als men echter eenmaal oog krijgt voor deze soort blijkt deze in genoemde regio vrij veel voor te komen. Daarom is het tijd deze te beschrijven. We hebben hem de naam... |

| A new species is described here: Rubus psilops A. Beek & K. Meijer. It is characterized by very short hairs, which give the impression that the plant is more glabrous than it is. The leaves are very coarsely serrated, usually with a narrow rhomboid or obovate terminal leaflet. The inflorescence is narrow pyramidal or cylindrical, with leaves at the base only. Flowers small, late. In 1952 vond Beijerinck een braam bij Fluitenberg bij Hoogeveen die op Rubus lindleianus Lees leek, maar op essentiële punten afweek. Hij vermeldt deze niet in zijn monografie over de Nederlandse bramen (Beijerinck 1956). Later werd hetzelfde taxon op meerdere plaatsen in Drenthe en Noord-Overijssel gevonden en daarnaast trof Weber een exemplaar aan bij Dinklage in... |
