| RESUMO A matéria orgânica (MO), principalmente suas frações, é indicadora da qualidade do solo e, na agricultura, está relacionada ao aporte de material vegetal por meio de cultivos. Neste contexto, a adoção de sistemas de manejo que aumentassem o fornecimento de MO, consequentemente, melhorariam a qualidade do solo. Assim, neste trabalho foram avaliadas alterações nos teores de MO e substâncias húmicas em um LATOSSOLO VERMELHO Eutroférrico, cultivado com plantas de cobertura em rotação com milho e soja. | Este trabalho estudou a variabilidade espacial do número médio de perfilhos e rendimento da cultura do trigo, em uma área de 22,62 ha, no município de Cascavel (PR), considerando 89 pontos amostrais com distância de 50 m entre si. Foi realizado o levantamento do número médio de perfilhos por planta aos 30 e 60 dias após a semeadura (DAS) e o rendimento da cultura. Os dados foram analisados com técnicas geoestatísticas para estudo da estrutura de variabilidade espacial e posterior estimação de valores para locais não amostrados pelo interpolador por krigagem. | This study analyzed possible interferences associated to the amount of crop residues produced by the black oats and the consortium of black oats, common vetch and forage turnip on weeds incidence and soil seed bank. It was a field trial with seven treatments and five replications. The cover crop was sown at throwing, cut at 100 days and residues were put on each respective plot, using a proportion of normal amount of produced straw, either its half and double. The heaviest weights were obtained from cover crop consortium and their application decreased weeds incidence in such area. | The objective of this work was to evaluate the environmental effects of the use of pig slurry to irrigate the corn crop grown in a typical Red Distroferric Latosol and in leachate composition. Twenty four lysimeters, filled with soil, in a protected environment, received five doses of pig slurry (0; 112.5; 225; 337.5 and 450 m³ ha-1 per growing cycle) combined with two mineral fertilization doses (50 and 75% of the recommended dose - 80 kg ha-1of nitrogen). Corn height and yield were evaluated, as well as nutrients in the soil and in leachate.
