First records of four species of the genus Americabaetis (Ephemeroptera: Baetidae) for Argentina Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent.
Bardavid,Sofía; Nieto,Carolina.
The family Baetidae is the most diverse family into the Order Ephemeroptera and it has an almost cosmopolitan distribution. The genus Americabaetis Kluge was described in 1992 and actually it has 19 known species with a clearly Neotropical distribution. Although this genus is very common in lotic aquatic systems, it has been poorly studied in Argentina. Herein, we report four species for this country originally described from Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay: A. labiosus Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty, A. longetron Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty, A. mecistognathus Salles & Raimundi, A. titthion Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty.

Cloeodes incus (Waltz & McCafferty) (Ephemeroptera: Baetidae): frst record for Argentina, hydrologic and environmental remarks Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent.
de Paul,Marcela A.; Nieto,Carolina; Neder de Roman,Lilia E..
Cloeodes incus is recorded for the first time for Argentina. Nymphs were collected using Surber net and kick sampling in Pircas and Ajedrez rivers (Jujuy: Rinconada) at altitudes above 4000 masl. There were two annual field trips: at the end of the rainy season (April) and at the end of the dry season (November), during the years 2011 and 2012. This study allows extending the distribution of C. incus in the Central Andes and incorporates environmental and hydrological information of the selected sites. The highest values of density were obtained at the end of the dry season, with little amount of water and a pH of 7.1 to 8.1. Their presence was also recorded downstream of mining activities, with a pH of 3.7.

Salles,Frederico Falcão; Nieto,Carolina.
The adult stages of Nanomis Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty and Spiritiops Lugo-Ortiz & McCafferty are described for the first time based on reared material from Argentina and Brazil, respectively. They can be differentiated from the other adults of Baetidae by the following characters: Nanomis, hind wings with three longitudinal veins, second vein bifurcate; costal projection of the hind wings pointed, placed in the basal third of anterior margin; and forceps threesegmented, third segment rounded. Spiritiops, fore wings with paired and long marginal intercalary veins; hind wings with three complete longitudinal veins, and an incomplete small longitudinal vein; costal projection of hind wings pointed, broad at base and placed in the basal third of...
