| The objective of this study was to investigate the limitations of the vegetative growth of the Coffea arabica L, Catuaí Vermelho (IAC 144), submitted to the water deficit, using the following dry matter characteristics: total (MST), of the leaf (MSF), of the orthotropic branches plus the plagiotropics (MSRo+p), of the root (MSR), besides of the leaf area, height and diameter. The experiment was set up in a completely randomized design, using three treatments of water availability [30, 60 and 100% of available water (AD)], with six replications.
