| This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the integrated crop-livestock system on the contents and stocks of total organic carbon, total nitrogen, and soil organic matter. The experiment was carried out between April 2016 and February 2017, in a randomized block design in a strip-block scheme, with additional control treatment (fallow) and four repetitions. | El uso de abonos orgánicos a través del agua residual de suinocultura (ARS) puede afectar positivamente los atributos químicos del suelo, debiendo ser monitoreado, debido a que un exceso puede constituir un alto contaminante ambiental. | This study aimed to evaluate the effects of applying bio-stimulant doses of commercial Fertiactyl® SD in the early development of corn plants, treated via seeds, and grown in soils of different textures. The experiment was conducted in pots in a greenhouse in Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paraná State, Brazil, in the year 2012. | This study aimed to investigate the interaction between the bacteria A. brasilense and H. seropedicae associated with nitrogen fertilization, aiming to supply nitrogen for corn crop. | Calcium silicate when applied to the soil may cause changes in the chemical soil since it is a source of silicon, calcium and magnesium. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of calcium silicate on the chemical properties of an Oxisol. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse with a randomized complete block design, with five doses of calcium silicate (0, 1.2, 2.4, 4.8 and 9.6 t ha-1) and four replicates. We evaluated the soil chemical properties. Silicon fertilization increases the content of Si, Ca and Mg, pH values, and SB and V%, and reduces the potential acidity (H + Al) of the soil. |

| A protocol of quince seedlings production was developed by grafted in the ‘Japonês’ rootstock in the winter (July). As the extraction of the seeds of the ‘Japonês’ is in May and it is demanded nine months to produce the rootstock, there is need to study techniques of seeds conservation to facilitate the seedlings production in the nursery. The present work has the objective to study the viability of the seeds conservation and cryoconservation of ‘Japonês’ quince rootstock. A part of the seeds was sowed immediately and the remaining had the humidity lowered for 14.14%.
