| A this study aimed to evaluate the gastrointestinal parasites of goats based on the variables eggs and oocysts per gram of feces, age, season, sex and parasite load, as well as identify the most common parasites in the cities studied. Samples were collected in 2008 produced a sample of 314 animals in semi-intensive creations of three municipalities of the island of São Luís, Maranhão.
