Background: Laterality disorders of the abdominal organs include situs inversus totalis that mirrors the arrangements of all internal organs and heterotaxy syndrome (situs ambiguus) in which the thoracic or abdominal organs are abnormally arranged. Heterotaxy is often accompanied by multiple congenital malformations, and it generally comprises asplenia and polysplenia syndromes. To our knowledge, polysplenia syndrome has been reported in only three cattle, and computerized tomographic (CT) images of these animals were not obtained. ペンシルバニア紀(>3億1000万年前)に,有羊膜類であるSynapsidは他の系統から分化し,腺を発達させた。乳腺は毛包と会合した祖先型アポクリン腺から発達した。乳腺と毛の関係は単孔類の乳腺に保持されている。また,有袋類における乳腺毛の初期個体発生時の存在とその後の退化に,その証拠が残されている。単孔類の乳頭のない乳腺区分にあるmammo-ピロ-脂腺単位の密集した集団は,透水性を示す卵への水分や他の成分の補給のための構造的進化を反映しているかもしれない。ラクトースなどの成分は,初期Synapsidの祖先アポクリン腺から分泌されていたかもしれない。三畳紀のTherapsidは,複雑な栄養成分を含む乳を分泌し,卵サイズを小さくし,孵化時の新生子の未熟化を引き起こした。乳腺区分に生じた乳頭は,乳腺の毛を退化させた。 乳腺分泌は,羊皮状の卵殻をもつ卵を産むSynapsidで開始されたと考えられる。羊皮状の卵殻をもつ卵は,低湿度の空気にふれた際,急速に水分損失を被る。Synapsidは抱卵嚢の中で抱卵することで卵の乾燥を防いだが,これは母親の行動を制限した。羊皮状の卵殻をもつ卵は,殻を通して液体水分を補給することができる。乳腺分泌は,本来卵に水分を供給する手段として開始され,Cynodont (キノドン類)において内温性獲得の要因となった。Synapsidの卵は,ナトリウムやカルシウムイオンなどの栄養素を摂取した可能性がある。孔のある卵殻と2層性の卵黄膜は,子宮内での分泌物と抱卵時での乳腺分泌物の摂取を促進したと考えられる。 |

Peptide YY (PYY) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) are produced in endocrine cells that show distal distribution in each of small and large intestine. They are colocalized in the same endocrine cells at different ratios depending on the animal species. The present study examined the possibility of plasticity in the colocalization pattern in the bovine rectum, which is known to contain endocrine cells at a high concentration. Consecutive sections from different pre- and postnatal stages were stained immunohistochemically. To examine the origin of Callosciurus erythraeus introduced to Japan, we compared mitochondrial DNA control region sequences of eight haplotypes from Japan with those of 42 haplotypes from Taiwan. There were two distinct phylogroups in Japan. Six haplotypes from Japan were included in the Taiwan population, suggesting that they could have been introduced from Taiwan. Two haplotypes, however, were distantly related to the cluster consisting of all Taiwanese haplotypes and six Japanese haplotypes. Evolutionary history of Callosciurus squirrel species seems affected by geographical-isolation by huge rivers in Southeast Asia. Geographical isolation by rivers may have influenced phylogeographical structure between and within Callosciurus species. In Sundaland, Southeast Asia, however, phylogeographical structure within Callosciurus species may be explained by geographical isolation among islands.
