| During the ANTARKTIS VIII/5 cruise (December 1989 -March 1990), which was jointly carried out by AWI and RCMG, the seismic grid already available in the Weddell Sea could be expanded with up to 4100 km of high-resolution reflection seismic profiles. The Meso-Cenozoic seismostratigraphic model, originally defined on ODP Site 693 (Leg 113), was extended throughout the existing seismic database along the entire eastern Weddell Sea continental margin. | Introdução: os pinípedes são mamíferos marinhos compreendidos principalmente pelas focas e lobos marinhos (ordens Phocidae e Otaridae). Os Parafilaroides sp são nematoides pertencentes à família Metaestrongylidae, geralmente encontrados em alvéolos e bronquíolos e, com menor frequência, em brônquios desses animais.Relato de caso: um lobo marinho subantártico (Arctocephalus tropicalis), macho, subadulto (1,57m) foi encontrado morto na Praia do Forte (-26°,16776S/-48°,52916 W), em São Francisco do Sul, litoral norte de Santa Catarina, no dia 19/08/13.
