INCREASING DOSES OF CATTLE MANURE FOR ORGANIC CHILI PEPPER PRODUCTION 196
Ribeiro, João Victor Silva; Semensato, Leandra Regina; Vendruscolo, Eduardo Pradi.
There is a contemporary trend of change in the agricultural sector, aiming at the use of ecologically friendly inputs. This trend can be seen by the constant increase in the demand for organic products. However, as with other technologies, there is a need for studies to evaluate the effectiveness of its use. The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of the application of increasing doses of cattle manure on the development and productivity of chili peppers. The treatments consisted of increasing doses of cattle manure (0; 5; 10; 15; 20 Mg ha-1). The variables plant height, stem diameter, number of plant leaves and length, diameter, and fruit yield were evaluated. It was found that, with the maximum amount of cattle manure, there was an increase of...

DIFFERENT PACKAGES IN THE POST-HARVEST QUALITY OF STRAWBERRY (cv. Camarosa) 196
Sena, Carolina Carvalho Rocha; Camilo, Yanuzi Mara Vargas; Evangelista, Zeuxis Rosa; Araujo, Kari Katiele Souza; Semensato, Leandra Regina.
The method and temperature of storage of a product are the basic agents that make it possible to prolong the post-harvest life of strawberries. In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the use of different packages with the passive modified atmosphere in the post-harvest quality of strawberry (cv. Camarosa). The strawberries were harvested and subsequently transported to the Laboratory of Drying and Post-harvest Storage of Agricultural Products, where they were stored in BOD, at 0ºC, and 90±5% relative air humidity. A completely randomized design was used, in a 3 x 5 factorial scheme (three packages: expanded polystyrene (EPS) packaging + polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film at 0 °C; polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging at 0 °C; and without packaging...
