| The aim of this article is to analyze the relevance of the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) to family farming in the Sul Fronteira/MS planning region. Quantitative, descriptive research was carried out based on data from the PNAE, Agricultural Census, IBGE and FNDE. The results show that purchases through the PNAE are at a level below that established by law. It is concluded that there is a possibility of expanding the acquisition of products from family farming. There is demand and available resources, however it is necessary to organize the producers and educational institutions so that both can benefit. |
