| The studied of rice potential zoning in Sukhothai province during 2009-2011 found that in irrigated area most of paddy fields grew rice twice in dry season, the rest time in rainy season paddy fields were fallowed. Rice growing areas could be divided by the potential suitability of soil at 4 levels; high favorable, moderately suitable, less favorable and those suitable for other crops. Most of soil texture were clay loam, pH range highly acid to moderately acid (4.6-5.0), organic matter content over 2.1%, available Phosphorus less than 5 ppm and available Potassium higher than 80 ppm.
