Última Bijdrage tot de kennis van Dianthus ameria L Naturalis Slim, P.A.. Dianlhus armeria was formerly considered to be a characteristic species of the Trifolio-Geranietea in the Netherlands. Its (syn-)ecology at two new localities described in this paper differs strongly from that. At the Veermansplaat in the Grevelingen estuary (province of Zeeland) it grows in Nanocyperion flavescentis and Caricion davallianae vegetation types (table 1) in increasing numbers (table 2). In Twente (eastern part of the Netherlands) it grows in an Arrhenatherion-Violion caninae vegetation. The synecological position of the species in western Europe is discussed. Naar aanleiding van de vondst in 1988 van Conopodium majus te Bentheim (D)¹ kunnen wij melden dat deze neofiet ter plaatse al zeker 12 jaar langer voorkomt. Op 3 juni 1976 maakte de afdeling Botanie van het vroegere Rijksinstituut voor Natuurbeheer een excursie naar onder andere het Bentheimerwald. In een gazon op vochtige, lemige bodem nabij het ‘Kurort’ werd in lichte schaduw van de bosrand een niet-bloeiende Umbellifeer gevonden, die in de harde kalkondergrond een knol bleek te hebben. Hij werd vergezeld door Phyteuma spicatum subsp. nigrum, Sanicula europaea, Carex pallescens, Poa trivialis, P. annua, Plantago major, Dactylis glomerata, Belis perennis, Taraxacum officinale, Glechoma hederacea, Aegopodium podagraria, Ajuga reptans, Anthoxanthum odoratum...
