Regime Alimentaire de Micromesistius Poutassou (Risso, 1826) Dans le Sud du Golfe de Gascogne ArchiMer
Sorbe, Jean-claude.
The blue whiting Micromesistius poutassou is an euryphagous predator fish. Its feed is constituted from pelagic Crustaceans : the young feed on little preys : planktonic copepods and young euphausiaceae. These observations made on fish trawled in the zone of southern Biscay Bay, confirm completely the bathypelagic behavior of this fish and correspond to the observations of the author : Euphausiaceae, Decapoda Natantia and Teleosteans in the case of adult fish, Copepods, Amphipods and Mysidaceae in the case of young fish. The blue whiting lives on the top of the Atlantic slope in association with other fish : bathypelagic like Gadiculus argenteus thori , nectobenthic like Phycis blennoides, benthic like Lepidorhombus whiffiagonis and Bathysolea profundicola .

Recent expansion of the oriental shrimp Palaemon macrodactylus (Crustacea: Decapoda) on the western coasts of France ArchiMer
Lavesque, Nicolas; Bachelet, Guy; Beguer, Melanie; Girardin, Michel; Lepage, Mario; Blanchet, Hugues; Sorbe, Jean-claude; Moderan, Julien; Sauriau, Pierre-guy; Auby, Isabelle.
The invasive oriental shrimp Palaemon macrodactylus Rathbun, 1902 has considerably extended its distribution in transitional waters along the Atlantic and Channel coasts of France during the period 2007-2010. The most probable method of a primary introduction of this species is ballast waters, but passive transport by water currents is also a possible mechanism of colonization (secondary introductions). Palaemon macrodactylus is a powerful invader of transitional waters and these new populations should be monitored in the future to assess any consequences to native species.
