| Enterolobium contortisiliquum (Vell.) Morong é uma espécie florestal nativa bastante utilizada em reflorestamento de áreas degradadas, por apresentar crescimento inicial rápido. Diante do exposto, objetivou-se com o presente trabalho avaliar o sombreamento na emergência e desenvolvimento inicial de mudas. O experimento foi conduzido por 60 dias no período de agosto a outubro de 2017 na Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT), Campus Gurupi. Os frutos foram coletados de três árvores matrizes em localidades do município e posteriormente beneficiados no Laboratório de Sementes Florestais.
