การใช้แผ่นเทียบสีใบข้าวจัดการปุ๋ยไนโตรเจนในข้าวสุพรรณบุรี 1 ปลูกแบบหว่านน้ำตม Thai Agricultural

Two methods of nitrogen management of broadcast wet-seeded rice in SPR1 with Leaf Color Chart (LCC) had been demonstrated compared with farmer fertilizer's practice in 6 farmer fields in Suphan Buri province during dry and wet season, 2003. The results showed that LCC produced yield of 605 and 616 kg/rai whereas farmers’ practice produced only 594 kg/rai and also consumed 28-48% less N fertilizer and gained more yield per nitrogen unit than those of farmers’ practice. Moreover, LCC took only 3.80 baht/kg of total fertilizer input cost and gained 602-614 baht of net benefit whereas the farmers’ practice needed 4.20 baht/kg and gave only 363.50 baht net benefit. Thus, nitrogen management with LCC reduces a lot of input cost and imported urea fertilizer.

This research was to develop a model for rice seed production by integrated framing. This research has been working with KhumRuamjaiPattana Ban Suan-Taeng Famers at Suphanburi Province. The objective is to develop a model for rice seed production, which focused in three parts: 1) To develop rice seed production which meets Good Agriculture Practices: Seed (GAP:Seed) 2) To develop a quality control system for checking and qualification rice quality and 3) to promote the rice seed production, which enhances an opportunity to sell and distribute rice seed. In this research, an integrated rice seed production was developed by working with rice seed farmers. Research investigated riceseed production by participation of farmer group and seed production recommended by the Department of Rice in comparison with rice seed production by Ban Ma -Tub Nam community enterprise in Bangpahun district of Auyutthaya province. The experiment conducted in dry season 2011 in collaboration with three farmer representatives. Research focused on rice seed quality and economic returns. For rice seed quality, seed production recommended by Rice Department was about thesame quality as seed production by participation of activefarmer groups and quality was higher than seed production commonly practiced by farmers where it produced more number of mixed with other rice varieties and red rice seeds. Severe shortage of high quality seed was a serious issue which had to be solved presently. Study on development of Farmer’s participatory modeling for rice seed production in Pathum Thani province was conducted during October 2012 – March 2013 using RD31 rice variety. The study aimed at developing rice seed production model for distributing high quality seed to local farmers and seed traders. The local rice production data had been collected.
