| The present work was objective to evaluate the quality of refrigerated raw milk through microbiological swabs being used at three different points of milking, which were represented by the liner (last set), tank and hose connected to the container end unit before and after the adoption of procedures for cleaning equipment. The experiment was conducted in period of May to June, 2009, in five milk properties, all situated in Parana west region. The data have been obtained by: check list and; analysis of the diverse points of production with research of mesophilic and psychrotrophic microorganisms. | The study was conducted in 32 dairy production systems (DPS) located in the city of Toledo-Paraná, and aimed at verifying the practices of hygiene applied during milking, as well as, observing their correlation with the total bacterial count (TBC), the somatic cell count (SCC) and the milk composition. We obtained 24 milk analyses in two years of collecting for each DPS. Along with the milk analysis, we collected some information from DPS by conducting a questionnaire where data were obtained, regarding to the practices of hygiene during milking. | O uso de herbicidas para o controle de plantas daninhas na cultura do milho é amplamente empregado no sistema de cultivo convencional brasileiro. Porém, a cultura pode apresentar sintomas de toxicidade, os quais podem comprometer o desenvolvimento das plantas e reduzir a produtividade. Portanto, este trabalho objetivou avaliar a resposta de 55 linhagens de milho à aplicação de mesotrione e estudar o controle genético ligado à tolerância das linhagens ao herbicida.
