Introducing rice yield loss caused by weed competition into the SimulArroz model PAB

Abstract: The objective of this work was to model weedy rice (Oryza sativa) and barnyard grass (Echinochloa spp.) competition with flood-irrigated rice, introducing it as a submodule into the SimulArroz model. The competition of both weeds with irrigated rice was modeled using the rectangular hyperbola equation. The “i” and “a” coefficients of the rectangular hyperbola for each of these weeds were obtained from the literature and from field experiments carried out in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In SimulArroz, yield loss was applied to penalize yield in all three technological levels (high, medium, and low) of physiological maturity. Manejo de capim pé-de-galinha em lavouras de soja transgênica resistente ao glifosato PAB

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a resistência de capim pé-de-galinha (Eleusine indica) ao glifosato, em lavouras de soja transgênica; avaliar o efeito de aplicações de glifosato em diferentes estádios de desenvolvimento; identificar práticas agronômicas associadas à seleção de biótipos resistentes; e avaliar a eficiência dos herbicidas cletodim, fluazifope-P-butílico, clomazona, glufosinato de amônio e glifosato nas plantas resistentes. Plantas escapes ao tratamento com glifosato foram coletadas em 24 propriedades, no Rio Grande do Sul. Morphophysiogenetic characterization of wild poinsettia biotypes with low resistance to glyphosate PAB

Abstract: The objective of this work was to compare wild poinsettia (Euphorbia heterophylla) biotypes as to their morphological characteristics, as well as to determine their genetic similarity in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and to confront the light compensation point of susceptible biotypes and of biotypes with low-resistance level to glyphosate. Besides the morphology analysis, the study included the genetic characterization, by AFLP, of susceptible (GR50= 58.65 g ha-1 a.e.) biotypes and of biotypes with low resistance (GR50= 310.36 g ha-1 a.e.) to glyphosate. ABSTRACT The residue of imidazolinone herbicides in soil can be detrimental to soybean cultivation in rotation with Clearfield® rice. Thus, this research aimed to evaluate the ryegrass phytoremediation capacity on the imazapyr+imazapic residue in the soil in two soil moisture conditions in the off-season, and the effect on soybean growth in the next growing season. Yield loss and economic thresholds of yellow nutsedge in irrigated rice as a function of the onset of flood irrigation Bragantia

Information on the competitive ability of this weed with the crop and the size of the economic damage caused is lacking. Mathematical models quantify the damage to crops and support control decision-making. Weed phytosociological in irrigated rice under different cultivation systems and crop rotation intensity Ciência Rural

ABSTRACT: This research aimed to evaluate the phytosociology of weeds in irrigated rice in different soil management systems and crop rotation intensity. Therefore, two field studies were carried out. Study 1 was conducted in an area that has been cultivated since 1994 with three cultivation systems: direct, pre-germinated and conventional ones. Study 2 was carried out in an experimental area in five Integrated Farming Systems, with crop rotation. Phytosociological evaluations were conducted when rice was fully blooming, in the first study, and when grain filling was ending, in the second study.
