| Face au constat alarmant de l’état actuel des masses d’eau et aux objectifs de résultats fixés par la Directive Cadre sur l’Eau, les gestionnaires de l’eau sont contraints de mettre en place des mesures préventives, en développant des plans d’actions agricoles sur leurs aires d’alimentation de captage. Au vue de l’orientation prise par les institutions françaises, l’agriculture biologique apparait comme l’un des moyens pouvant être employé sur cette problématique. Le programme Agriculture Biologique et Aires d’Alimentation de Captage (ABAAC), piloté par l’ISARA-Lyon s’inscrit dans ce contexte à travers l’étude des enjeux et des perspectives d’un tel axe de développement. | Farmers are important actors for regional development and biodiversity protection. Agri-environment-climate measures (AECM) are therefore a central tool of the European Union to support its biodiversity conservation policy. AECM generally reward farmers for fulfilling predefined management actions or avoiding specific practices. In contrast, result oriented AECM are intended to reward farmers for the outcome of nature friendly management practices. This approach gives more flexibility in management and hence promotes farmers engagement and autonomy.
