การใช้กับดักแสงไฟคาดการณ์การระบาดของเพลี้ยกระโดดสีน้ำตาลในจังหวัดปราจีนบุรี Thai Agricultural
Wannaphan Janlapha; Chalermpol Chalermpolyotin.
Major pest in irrigated rice growing area of central and lower northern region since 1975 is brown planthopper. The factors of BPH outbreak are varieties seed rate fertilizer use misuse of chemical. The monitoring of population density is very important for forecasting the BPH outbreak. Light trap, an effective tool for monitoring the outbreak of BPH was conducted in hot spot areas. Light trap was set in Prachin Buri Rice Research Center while surveying in farmers’ field in hot spot areas of outbreak in Prachin Buri province were investigated during January 2011 to December 2012. The number of BPH from light trap was counted everyday throughout the year. The results showed that light trap could collect large number of BPH. The peak of BPH in light trap...

Efficacy test of pericarps of soapberry (Sapindus emarginatus Wall) to Golden Apple Snail (Pomacea canaliculata Lamarck) was conducted in 2 x 5 meter rice field plots at Prachin Buri Rice Research Center in 2013. RCB design was used in this experiment. Five plots were treated with suspension of pericarps of soapberry at rates 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 kg/rai and compared with other two plots which one treated with suspension of tea seed cake (3 kg/rai ; control 1) and another was untreated (control 2). In each plot contained 30 different sizes of snails. The results showed that in 48 hours after treated with soapberry and tea seed cake, the percentage mortality of snails were more than 50 and significantly to untreated plot In 15 days after treated with soapberry...

Studies of BPH density from light traps were monitored at Prachinburi Rice Research Center and five different farmer fields in Nakhonnayok Province of the following sites: 1) Moo 1 Tha Sai subdistrict Mueang district 2) Moo 7 Tha Chang subdistrict Mueang district, 3) Moo 5 Srisa Krabue subdistrict Ongkharak district, 4) Moo 1 Bueng San subdistrict Ongkharak district and 5) Moo 12 Ban Phrik subdistrict Ban Na district. To attract and trap the brown planthopper (BPH), light was daily turned on between 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Insect collecting and identification were daily monitored from January 2013 to October 2014. The results indicated that the trend of long-winged BPH population density with light trap catched from five different farmer fields in Nakhonnayok...

Effects of climate change on disease epidemics in the eastern area were studied during 2011-2013. This study consists of 2 activities, the first activity was monitoring the outbreak of rice diseases in farmer field’s network. The occurrence of rice blast was found every year and the highest disease severity was 40 percent in January 2013. The highest of rice bacterial blight and bacterial leaf streak severity were 90 percent in September 2012 and 40 percent in July 2012, respectively. The second activity was studying the relationship between rice diseases epidemics and climate change at Chachoengsao Rice Research Center. Phisanulok 2 and Chinat 1 rice varieties were planted every month throughout the year. Rice diseases were randomly assessed at...

Light trap is an important tool to forecast and warn of many rice insect pests outbreak. The aim of this research was to find the relationship of BPH density from light traps which collected from Prachin Buri Rice Research Center and rice fields in Nakhon Nayok province. For developing outbreak forecasting system in Nakhon Nayok. Selected locations in Nakhon Nayok were Mueang district (Moo 1, Tha Sai and Moo 7, Tha Chang) Ongkharak district, (Moo 5, Srisa Krabue and Moo 1, Bueng San) and Ban Na district. (Moo 12, Ban Phrik) which daily collected from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm (January 2013 to October 2014). The results indicated that Pearson’s correlation coefficient between BPH population density in 2 selected locations was positive with low association...
