| Present study was conducted to evaluate RD14 seed accelerated aging for longevity in humid tropic at Phrae Rice Research Center. Rice seeds from wet season, 2012 were stored in plastic bags at room temperature and were monitored for seed quality every month. Moreover, the rice seed samples were aliquoted for Accelerated Againg Test (AA) with 100% relative humidity and the temperature condition was varied from 44 46 and 48 0c for 72 96 120 and 144 hrs, respectively. The results revealed the correlation between seed germination from each temperature and time accelerated aging and seed stored in plastic bags at room temperature. It was shown that RD14 seed at moisture content 13% in plastic bag could be stored for 6 months with more than 80 % germination.... |
