The alteration of GABA levels has been involved in psychiatric disorders. Several studies have shown the pre-germinated brown rice (PGBR), that is a brown rice (BR) induced slight germination by soaking in the water, contains abundant of nutrients than BR especially GABA. However, there are few studies examining the effects of PGBR on brain functions.
