Improved grasses planted for forage are increasing in demand throughout Thailand due to the increasingnumber of cattle. New varieties are being introduced in response to new demands. Brachiaria grasses, especially the hybrids, are gaining popularity because of their good yields and high quality. However, seed production of the brachiaria hybrids is difficult. The study was to investigate the effect of planting dates on tomato production under plastic house for seed production and continuous tomato production. Tomato variety TBRY was planted, one and half month interval during June 2008 and January 2009, under plastic-house at the vegetable-experimental fields, Khon Kaen University. A Completely Randomized Design with three replications was used. Data were recorded for growth, yield and seed quality. The results showed that growth of tomato grown in rainy season was better than in winter season, but yield in rainy season was low. Study of sunn hemp seed development and maturation was studied at the Department of Plant Science, Faculty of Natural Resources, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai campus, Hat Yai, Songkhla, during March-June, 2008. The blooming flowers were tagged to indicate the date of flowering. Pods at 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, 34, 37, 40, 43 and 46 days after flowering were harvested to investigate pod color, seed color and seed quality. The results showed that the sunn hemp had 6 developmental stages of pod color which were green, yellow-green, light grey-green, dark greygreen, grey-brown and grey-brown-black at 10-16, 19-28, 31, 34, 37-40 and 43-46 days after flowering, respectively.
