The experiment aimed to study the effects of crop rotation in sugarcane field during the last ratoon harvest and planting a new sugarcane crop, on soil improvement, increasing sugar yield and economic return in northeast Thailand. The effect of Jack bean (Canavalia ensiformis), sunn hemp (Crotalaria juncea), upland rice (Oryza saliva L.) fallowed as the rotation system. Comparative study on the economic cost and profit in rearing native pigs was carried out under different feeding patterns for weaned piglet production. Feeding patterns were composed of 1) the use of feed based on rice bran mixed with other raw materials, 2) the use of feed based on rice bran together with food scraps from restaurants, and 3) the use of feed based on rice bran together with food scraps from the farmers’ kitchen. Thestudied data were collected individually by means of 59 farmer interviews, pig feed sampling and measuring the body weight of weaned piglets at the selling time. Quality of forage sorghum at second cut on milk production Thai Agricultural

This study was conducted to determine effects of quality of purple guinea grass (Panicum maximum TD 58) and forage sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) at second cut on dry matter intake, milk production, liveweigh change, metabolic profiles and economic return in dairy cows. Using twelve multiparous cows. Two groups (six cows in each groups) of GT=75 percent Holstein Freesian dairy cows were imposed by Group comparison. Group 1 were fed fresh purple guinea grass. While in group 2, cows were fed fresh forage sorghum, All the cows were also supplemented with concentrate (18.33 percent CP, 70 percent TDN) twice daily at milking (i.e. at 05.00 am. and 02.00 pm.).
