การคัดเลือกและจำแนกชนิดไรโซแบคทีเรียส่งเสริมการเจริญเติบโตของข้าว Thai Agricultural
Waraporn Panyoo; Wichai Kositratana; Sujin Patarapuwadol.
Rhizobacteria were isolated from root and rhizospheric soil of rice collected from rice paddy fields in Nakhon Pathom and Sukhothai provinces. One hundred and sixteen isolates were screened for plant growth promoting properties. Nitrogen fixation property determined based on PCR amplification using primer Salkowski’s reagent and quantified by spectrophotometer at 530 nm. Siderophore production and phosphate solubilization were tested by plating technique in chrome azurol S and Pikovskaya’s medium. Eighty-one percent of isolated rhizobacteria revealed plant growth promoting properties. Sixty percent of rhizobacteria had only one property and 21% of them had more than one of plant growth promoting properties. All of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria which...

การแยกเชื้อและลักษณะของเชื้อ Azospirillum จากรากข้าว Thai Agricultural
Jarunee Mejuice; Naruemon Uthakur; Savit Mejuice.
Azospirillum is consider to be plant-growth promoting bacteria (PGPR) associated with rice and stimulate plant growth by promoting nutrition by the process of biological nitrogen fixation. The aim of this study was to isolate and characterise of Azospirillum from root rice varieties. The morphology, physiology and biochemistry properties of the bacteria were tested. The result showed that the bacterial isolates of Azospirillum from three rice varieties; Khao Dawk Mali 105, Sew Mae Jan and RD 6 were Azospirillum brasilense and Azospirillum amazonense. The combined properties of the two species were discussed to be used for beneficial application of microbial fertilizer. 

การประเมินวิธีการปลูกเพื่อคัดกรองรากข้าว Thai Agricultural
Phuttapong Manokam; Nattinee Phatarakul; Sansanee Jamjod; ฺำBenjavan Rerkasem.
Rice plants with more roots are better at acquiring water and nutrients from the soil. But to study rice root system in the soil is time consuming and labour intensive, making screening for root traits in breeding programs difficult. The objective of this study was to compare root growth of two rice varieties with different rooting habits, Bue Bang and KDML105, in 8 rooting media, in order to develop a simple and rapid means for screening. The rooting media were T1, Sansai soil; T2, black loam soil; T3, 1:1 mixture (by weight) of black loam soil and fine sand; T4, 2:1 mixture of black loam soil and fine sand; T5, 1:1 mixture of black loam soil and coarse sand; T6, 2:1 mixture of black loam soil and coarse sand; T7, complete nutrient solution and T8,...
