Desempenho agronômico da chia sob diferentes arranjos espaciais 196
Teodoro Maia, João Paulo; Garcia da Silva, Wellington; Vieira Silva, Ariana; Duarte Giunti, Otavio; Henrique Sartori, Raul Henrique.
The nutritional benefits and functional potential of chia seeds have been highlighted in the literature. However, few studies address the planting system of the species, especially its spatial arrangement. Thus, this study proposes to evaluate chia cultivation under different spatial arrangements, aiming at its agronomic performance. The experimental design was randomized in blocks in a 3×2 factorial scheme, with three inter-row spacings (0.30, 0.45, and 0.60 m), two plant densities per linear meter (7.5 and 15 plants m−1), and four replications. Plant height, stem diameter, leaf area index, dry matter, chlorophyll index, leaf nitrogen content, panicle size, harvest index, and yield were evaluated. The evaluated spatial arrangements did not influence plant...

Effect of two environments and fertilization recommendations on the development and production of bell pepper (cv. Nathalie) Acta Agron. (Palmira)
Lozano-Fernández,Jaime; Orozco-Orozco,Luz Fanny; Montoya-Munera,Luis Felipe.
Abstract Some unappropriated techniques are found in bell pepper agricultural management. Those are: non-balancing nutritional profile among soil contribution, crop requirements and fertilizer efficiency, excessive use of composite sources and the lack of availability of studies on recommendations in different environments where this crop is grown. In order to mitigate the inadequate techniques in the agronomic management of bell pepper, an evaluation of four fertilization treatments under open field and protected conditions with plastic cover was conducted. Nathalie cultivar was grown during 2014-B and 2015-A at "Corporación Colombiana de Investigación Agropecuaria", -CORPOICA research center, located in Llanogrande, township of Rionegro (Antioquia,...

Nutritional contents in Myrciaria dubia plants in function of in Potassium doses applied through fertigation Acta Agron. (Palmira)
Abanto-Rodríguez,Carlos; Alves Chagas,Edvan; Farias Araújo,Wellington; Gongalves Paulichi,Matheus; García de Lima,Jodo Vitor; Medeiros de Oliveira,Eduardo; Lopes Monteiro Neto,Jodo Luiz; da Silva Maia,Sonicley; Sanchez-Choy,José; Panduro Tenazoa,Nadia Masaya.
Abstract The objective in this study was to determine the nutrient contents in Myrciaria dubia plants in function of five K2O doses (0, 40, 80, 120 and 160 kg ha-1) applied through fertigation. Leaf dry matter (LDM), total dry matter (TDM), and leaf nutrient contents were evaluated. The LDM and TDM were higher in plants subjected to the dose of 160 kg ha-1 of K2O, with 52.44 g and 302.69 g, respectively. Leaf N and K contents were 22.15 and 9.48 g kg-1 in response to 160 kg ha-1 of K2O. The mean P, Ca and S contents were 1.6, 17.89 and 1.61 g kg-1, respectively, and the content of Mg2 + decreased from 5.62 to 2.74 g kg-1 at the dose of 0 and 160 kg ha-1 of K2O, respectively. The B, Mn and Fe contents decreased from 136.5 to 100.0, 346.24 to 248, and from...

Spatio-temporal reconciliation to lessen losses in yield and quality of forage soybean (Glycine max L.) in soybean-sorghum intercropping systems Bragantia
Iqbal,Muhammad Aamir; Iqbal,Asif; Abbas,Rana Nadeem.
ABSTRACT Soybean suffers a serious blow to forage yield and quality while in intercropping with cereal forages like sorghum. The aim of this field investigation was to optimize planting time and spatial arrangement for boosting yield, quality and profitability of intercropped soybean. Treatments included soybean sown 20 days before and after sorghum under different spatial arrangements (3-1, 1-3, 2-3, 3-2 and 3-3 row proportions). The factorial arrangement was used to employ randomized complete block design (RCBD) for experimental execution with four replicates. Soybean sown 20 days prior to sorghum in 2-3 row replacement series was effective in yielding the highest yield attributes of soybean, which led to the highest green forage yield and dry matter...
