A correlation analysis based on the concept of singular-value decomposition of a matrix is applied here to an atmospheric aerosol data set, for twelve metals (Al, Ca, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, Pb and Zn),in the Ligurian Sea coastal environment. An iterative procedure allows atypical samples to be discarded, i.e. samples with characteristics significantly different to those of the whole data set. After five atypical samples have been objectively discarded, the general characteristics of the data set are better described and some features are enhanced according to a decreasing order of importance, For example, the mineral dust character of almost every metal is shown, which points out that the marine recycling component is negligible. These structures (shoals, plankton layers) are described by energetic, morphological, spatial and temporal descriptors. Specifying acoustic detections as individual shoals will allow shoal by shoal echo-integration and may lead to better biomass estimation and shoal species description. Comme pour les années précédentes, le réseau biovigilance a réalisé en 2011 la caractérisation du niveau de ploïdie des naissains captés en 2010. Pour la première fois, en plus des deux principaux bassins de captage que sont Marennes Oléron et Arcachon, un bassin additionnel (Vendée) a été prospecté via l'analyse de naissains sauvages captés en 2010 au niveau de la baie de Bourgneuf. Les échantillons des naissains sauvages issus du captage naturel ont été prélevés sur les sites de chaque bassin pour un total analysé de plus de 1800 animaux. En tenant compte de notre échantillonnage, nos résultats de suivi de ploïdie concluent à l'absence d'animaux polyploïdes, triploïdes ou tétraploïdes, captés dans les trois bassins prospectés. Herein, we consider the effects on the statistical analysis of sea surface temperature (SST) using (1) a structure function or covariance analysis, (2) different analytical expressions to represent the statistics of the raw data, and (3) different historical SST data sets. The historical data sets are the well-sampled Comprehensive Ocean-Atmospheric Data Set (COADS) and the poorly sampled historical expendable bathythermograph (XBT) data set. The analysis of the official statistics of commercialised production of oysters (.Crassostrea angutata and Crassostrea gigas ) is achieved from 1866 to 1984 in term of their numbers and weights for the bay of Marennes-Oleron. The number of sanitary labels, multiplied by the mean weight of a crate can also give out the commercialised production provided it is increased by the bias and decreased by the exterior production of the bay . Thus the production of Portuguese oysters is only 45 000 tons from 1948 to 1957 with a maximum of 52, 000 tons for respectively 70 000 tons and 280 000 tons for the statistics .
