The article deals with an analysis of the world agricultural and foodstuff production and consumption. It analyses production and consumption development during the last 45 years (1961-2006). The aim of our paper is to analyse the current growth of population and foodstuff consumption and production and on the basis of these analyses, the paper tries to analyse the past and current food production development. In general, the paper analyses which factors influenced the foodstuff demand and which factors influenced the foodstuff supply. In the course of cost-benefit analysis of management information systems such peculiar elements can be found on both sides the interpretation of which might be a difficult task. Looking at the costs the generally known cost elements are found (TCO – Total Cost of Ownership): investment costs (hardware, software), operating costs (staff costs, maintenance expenditures, rental, and subscriptions). However, besides these it is worth to mention the costs deriving from switching from a given system, the definition and quantification of which is not yet solved. A szállítmányozási vállalatok jelentős része nyújt logisztikai szolgáltatást megbízói részére. Ezáltal az őket megbízó termelő vállalatok állandó költségeik egy részét változó költségekké alakíthatják át. Az alapanyagok és késztermé-kek fuvarozásának megszervezését, helyváltoztatásukat, csomagolásukat, táro-lásukat stb. szakvállalatokra bízzák, és ezáltal fuvar- és állóeszköz, bér, szerve-zési stb. költségeket takarítanak meg. In order to ensure the sustainable convergence required for the achievement of economic and monetary union (EMU), the Treaty sets five convergence criteria which must be met by each Member State before it can take part in the third stage of EMU and hence before it can adopt the euro. Compliance is checked on the basis of reports produced by the Commission and the European Central Bank (ECB). ABSTRACT This study shows, through several analyses, ways to reduce costs with electric power in supermarkets. For this purpose, one of those establishments was visited and several data were collected for subsequent analysis. The results have shown that the combinations of several actions of energy efficiency can be applied when the objective is the reduction of costs with electric power.
