| RESUMO Nós registramos 198 espécies de Odonata para o Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, distribuídas em dez famílias: Calopterygidae (6 spp.), Coenagrionidae (58 spp.), Dicteriadidae (1 sp.), Lestidae (5 spp.), Protoneuridae (10 spp.), Pseudostigmatidae (1 sp.), Aeshinidae (8 spp.), Corduliidae (1 sp.), Gomphidae (13 spp.) e Libellulidae (95 spp.). Uma família, seis gêneros e 33 espécies como primeiro registro de coleta no estado são incluídos. |

| After the description of new species of Cordulegastridae from China by Zhou (1988) and Zhu & Han (1992), additional specimens have been described by van Pelt (1993) and Lohmann (1993). In this paper additional material of Anotogaster cornutifrons Lohmann, 1993, is reported upon. Neallogaster lieftincki Lohmann, 1993, is synonymized with Cordulegaster jinensis Zhu & Han, 1992. Some further comments are made on Lohmann's paper. A single male from Tsingtau (Ch'ing-tao, Shantung, NE China) is described as Cordulegaster (mentalis spec. nov., being the sole representative of the C. boltonii (Donovan, 1807) species-group in the East Palaearctic. |

| A translation of the Chinese description of a female of Neallogaster annandalei (Fraser, 1923), by Zhou (1988) is given and compared with the original description of Anotogaster annandalei. It is concluded that this species should be included in the genus Cordulegaster. A translation of the original Chinese descriptions of Cordulegaster jinensis Zhu & Han, 1992, and Neallogaster choui Yang & Li, 1994, is presented. It is suggested that the two species are conspecific. Material of "Cordulegaster luniferous var. annandalei Klots, 1947" from Yunnan is identified as Neallogaster latifrons Selys, 1878 (?), by which the presence of Neallogaster in China is confirmed. |

| East Palaearctic Cordulegastridae from the former Lieftinck collection are identified. Two Neallogaster species are described and figured. Neallogaster is supposed to consist of two speciesgroups. Cordulegaster lunifera and C. pekinensis are redescribed and figured. A single female from Central China belongs to C. jinensis. It is assumed that these three Cordulegaster species belong to a separate supraspecific taxon. A single male Cordulegaster from 'Tsingtau" is not conspecific with other cordulegastrids known from China; it resembles the European C. boltonii and will be described as a new species in a revision of the C. boltonii species-group. It is emphasized that the cordulegastrid fauna of the East Palaearctic is still insufficiently known. |

| The female of Navicordulia aemulatrix Pinto & Lamas is described and illustrated for the first time based on a single specimen from the same locality of the type series (state of Santa Catarina, [municipality of São Bento do Sul, 26°14'58"S, 49°22'59"W, railroad station] Rio Vermelho, 29.I.1952, in MZSP). In addition, further morphological notes for the male are provided based on three specimens collected at the type locality and at a new locality in the state of Santa Catarina (Timbó municipality). The pronotal process present in N. aemulatrix is re-evaluated and considered non-homologous to that found in Neocordulia setifera (Hagen in Selys) as previously suggested. |

| When rare is just a matter of sampling: Unexpected dominance of clubtail dragonflies (Odonata, Gomphidae) through different collecting methods at Parque Nacional da Serra do Cipó, Minas Gerais State, Brazil. Capture of dragonfly adults during two short expeditions to Parque Nacional da Serra do Cipó, Minas Gerais State, using three distinct collecting methodsaerial nets, Malaise and light sheet trapsis reported. | Navicordulia aemulatrix sp. nov. (holotype male deposited in MZSP: Brazil, Santa Catarina State, [São Bento do Sul municipality, 26°14'58"S, 49°22'59"W], [railroad station] Rio Vermelho, II.1952) is described and illustrated based on three males. The long cercus (2.9-3.2 mm) places this species in the longistyla-group together with N. kiautai, N. longistyla and N. nitens but it differs from them mainly by the shape of cercus, with carinated part occupying 0.33 of cercus total length, and also by dorsal, ventro-medial and ventro-lateral tubercles developed. | ABSTRACT This study provides a comprehensive checklist of Odonata species from the protected area of Mananciais da Serra. The survey was conducted in the endangered Atlantic Forest domain at the southern Serra do Mar mountain chain within a well-preserved area in the municipality of Piraquara, state of Paraná, Brazil. Adults and larvae were sampled between June 2017 and March 2020 using different techniques in numerous mesohabitats, including phytotelmata, pools, small streams, and large reservoirs. | Environmental characteristics and spatial distances between sites have been used to explain species distribution in the environment, through Neutral (space) and Niche theory (environment) predictions. We evaluated the effects of spatial and environmental factors on Odonata larvae distribution along the Suiá-Missú River Basin, state of Mato Grosso. We tested the hypotheses that (1) the environment is the main factor structuring the community due to its ecophysiological requirements; and (2) the pattern, if present, is clearer for Zygoptera. | Abstract: Here we provide a checklist of the odonates from Amazonas state, Brazil. We registered 324 species and 101 genera, making Amazonas the Brazilian state with the most Odonata species recorded. The families with the highest number of species were Coenagrionidae with 32 genera and 101 species, followed by Libellulidae with 28 genera and 100 species and Gomphidae with 12 genera and 45 species. Some regions of Amazonas state remain poorly explored, such as the southern area, and large municipalities, such as São Gabriel da Cachoeira. | Abstract: The knowledge about the richness and distribution of Brazilian dragonflies is still being unveiled. Over the years, inventories, reviews, and descriptions have been made. These contributions, apart from the taxonomic value, also provide valuable data on the occurrence of species and their distributions, which are rarely accompanied by notes about natural history and behavior. Keeping this legacy in mind, we collected dragonflies between 2011 and 2019 in Minas Gerais state, which resulted in the registration of 90 species, 41 genera and 11 families. Our results also increase distribution data, an important tool for conservation actions, and provide additional information about habitat and biology of species. |
