Anther wall formation, sporogenesis and gametogenesis of Tripterospermum chinense (Gentianaceae), with emphasis on uniformity of characters in Tripterospermum and its systematic values Naturalis
Ao, C..
Tripterospermum sensu T.N.Ho comprises two sections that are readily discriminated morphologically. In the present paper, embryological characters in anther wall formation, sporogenesis and gametogenesis of Tripterospermum chinense, a member of sect. Platyspermum, are reported. Comparisons based on available data show that as far as the two recognized sections are concerned, embryological characters are uniform in all aspects, disapproving of the splitting of the genus into two sections. The notable differences between Tripterospermum and closely related genera support the phylogenetic conclusion that Tripterospermum is monophyletic.

Ultrastructural studies on the sporogenous tissue and anther wall of Leucojum aestivum (amaryllidaceae) in different developmental stages Anais da ABC (AABC)
Ekici,Nuran; Dane,Feruzan.
In this study, ultrastructures of anther wall and sporogenous tissue of Leucojum aestivum were investigated during different developmental stages. Cytomictic channels were seen between pollen mother cells during prophase I. Polar distribution was described in the organelle content of pollen mother cells and microspores in early phases of microsporogenesis and also in pollen mitosis. Active secretion was observed in tapetal cells. Previous reports about developmental stages of male gametophyte were compared with the results of this study.
