Larocanthidium gen.n. is proposed to include ten new species of Anthidiinae from Brazil characterized by the mandibles of the females with four little teeth, two apical and two basal connected by a large smooth area and by the bissinuate or straight lamela projected only dorsally on the sixth tergum and the two apical carinate lobes on the seventh tergum of the male.

Mielkeanthidium, gen.n. with long preepisternal carina on the mesepistemum is proposed for two species from Southern Brazil: Mielkeanthidium nigripes, sp.n. and Mielkeanthidium rubripes, sp.n. The females are characterized by the absence of the arolia and of the subbasal tooth of the mandibles, the males by the two large carinated lobes on the apical teigum.

Tylanthidium, gen.n. is proposed to a new species from the north brazilian state of Amazonas - Tylanlhidium tuberigaster, sp.n. - characterized by the absence of arolia and of interalveolar carinas, the peculiar scutellum almost triangular and by the genal preoccipital carinae; the males with the apical border of the mandibles deeple sinuate and the distai tergum densely hairy bellow. Michanthidium nom.n. is given to Gnathanlhidium Urban,. 1992 (non Gnathanthidium Pasteels, 1969).

Chrisanthidium gen.n. is here proposed (Type spe-cies: Anthidium bidentatum Friese, 1908). Chrisanthidium nigritum sp.n. and Chrisanthidium adornatum sp.n. both from Argentina, are described, as well as Chrisanthidium bidentatum (Friese, 1908), comb.n..

The subgenus Hoplostelis (Austrostelis), proposed by Michener and Griswold (1994), is here raised up to the genus levei: Austrostelis stat.n. The following nomenclatural changes are introduced: Austrostelis catamarcensis (Schrottky, 1909) comb.n. (= Dianthidium nudum Schrottky, 1909syn.n. = Ste/i4-a//e«aCockerell, 1919syn.n. = Stelis argentina Friese, 1925 syn.n. = Stelis magna Friese, 1925 syn.n.); Austrostelis iheringi (Schrottky, 1910) comb.n.; Austrostelis zebrala (Schrottky, 1905) comb.n. Lectotypes are designated for: Dianthidium catamarcense Schrottky, 1909, Dianthidium iheringi Schrottky, 1910, Dianthidium nudum Schrottky, 1909, and Dianthidium zebratum Schrottky, 1905. A key for species and illustrations are also provided.

Two new species from Peru: Anthidulum lamasi sp. nov. from San Ramón and Anthidulum clausi sp. nov. from Pichanaki, both from the Junín Province; and Anthidianum chilense sp. nov. from Arica, Chile are described. The Lectotype of Anthidium caroliameghinoi Brèthes, 1903, is designated, and a taxonomic change is made: Antidianum caroliameghinoi (Brèthes, 1903) comb. nov.

Moureanthidium, gen.n. is proposed for Dianthidium subarenarium Schwarz, 1933 and to include four new species of Anthidiine bees from Brazil, Moureanthidium paranaense, sp.n from Ponta Grossa, Paraná, Moureanthidium capixaba, sp.n. from Santa Teresa, Espírito Santo, Moureanthidium bahianum, sp.n. from Vitória da Conquista, Bahia and Moureanthidium catarinense, sp.n. from Seara, Santa Catarina. The males are characterized by the border of the seventh tergum strongly reflexed, densely hairy and with a pair of lateral projections and the third sternite with two spines or little projections at the middle, near the apex.

Gnathanthidium, gen.n. is proposed for two new species from South America, one from Brazil (Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul) and Argentina (Misiones) Gnathanthidium sakagamii, sp.n. and another from Argentina (Tucuman) Gnathanthidium ferrugineum, sp.n. The female of this Anthidiine bee nas peculiar mandibles without large teeth, only with two little ones on the apical margin.

The Anthidiine bees Nananthidium analuizae sp.n., Nananthidium foersteri sp.n. and Nananthidium panamense sp.n. are described. New combinations are proposed to Nananthidium quadrimaculatum (Cockerell, 1927) and Nananthidium gualanense (Cockerell, 1912). By the first time notes on the morphology of the male of Bothranthidium Moure, 1947 are presented.
