Effect of sources and levels of boron for sunflower, Helianthus annuus (Asteraceae) in a greenhouse environment is provided. The experimental design was completely randomized with two sources of boron (boric acid and borax), four doses (0.0; 1.0; 2.0 and 4.0 mg.dm-3) and four replications. Seeds were germinated in vases with 5.8 dm-3 and, after paring, two plants remained in each pot. Boron and a nutritive solution with macro and micronutrients were applied. Plants were collected at flowering, root and stem were separated to assess dry matter. After drying, boron level by azomethine H colorimeter method was determined. Dried mass yield was influenced by boron addition and dose 1.0 mg.dm-3 provided the best yield. Borax was more efficient for sunflower...
