| The present article aimed at to characterize the pig farmers associated to the Regional Cooperative of Passos’ pig farmers, MG, according to the perception of the information value to the cost-benefit use of Information Technology (IT). This research has mixed the use of qualitative and quantitative collection of data techniques. In a first exploratory phase, semi-structured interviews were accomplished with 4 pig farmers and later 14 closed questionnaires were applied among the pig farmers associated to the cooperative.
