Hoya wongii (Apocynaceae, Asclepiadoideae): a new campanulate flowered species from Brunei (Borneo) Naturalis
Rodda, M.; Simonsson, N.; Wanntorp, L..
A new species from kerangas heath forest of Brunei, Borneo, Hoya wongii, is here described and illustrated. This species differs from the previously described species of Hoya in having a corona with inflated outer processes and laterally compressed and erect inner processes, ending in two bidentate membranaceous appendages. The corona is inserted above a pale yellow campanulate corolla. We discuss morphological affinities between the new species and other campanulate flowered species of Hoya.

Micro-caddisflies in the tribe Hydroptilini (Trichoptera: Hydroptilidae: Hydroptilinae) from Malaysia and Brunei Naturalis
Wells, A.; Huisman, J..
Twenty-two new species of Hydroptilidae in six genera are described from Malaysia and Brunei: Ugandatrichia Mosely (1), Macrostactobia Schmid (1), Hydroptila Dalman (16), Oxyethira Eaton (1), and Hellyethira Neboiss (3). In addition, new distributional records of previously described species of Ugandatrichia (1), Hydroptila (2), Oxyethira (2) and Tricholeiochiton Kloet & Hincks (1) are given, and immatures of Macrostactobia are figured and described for the first time. Species check lists of Hydroptilini are included for West Malaysia, East Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak) and Brunei.

Revision of the genus Coeliccia (Zygoptera: Platycnemididae) in Borneo. Part I: The borneensis-group of species Naturalis
Dow, R.A..
A revision of the borneensis-group of Coeliccia species from the SE Asian island of Borneo is presented. The group is characterised based on the form of the penis, the form of the posterior lobe of the female pronotum and the mesostigmal plates of the female. Six species are recognised as occurring in Borneo, of which one is described as new: C. kenyah spec. nov. Coeliccia campioni, often considered a junior synonym of C. borneensis, is shown to be a valid species and new records are provided. C. coomansi is shown to be a junior synonym of C. flavostriata. Redescriptions based on fresh material are provided for the female of C. borneensis and the male of C. campioni. The male of C. borneensis and the female of C. campioni are described for the first time....

Malaysian and Bruneian micro-caddisflies in the tribes Stactobiini and Orthotrichiini (Trichoptera: Hydroptilidae: Hydroptilinae) Naturalis
Wells, A.; Huisman, J..
Thirty-eight new species of micro-caddisflies (Trichoptera: Hydroptilidae) are described from Malaysia and Brunei in the tribes Stactobiini and Orthotrichiini. Thirteen species are referred to the genus Chrysotrichia Schmid, two to Plethus Hagen, 13 to Scelotrichia Ulmer, five to Stactobia McLachlan and five to Orthotrichia Eaton. Chrysotrichia manga Olah, described from Vietnam, is now recorded from West Malaysia. A checklist of these species is appended for West Malaysia, East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak) and Brunei.

Revision of the Euagathis species (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Bassinae) from the Sunda Islands Naturalis
Simbolotti, G.; Achterberg, C. van.
The species of the genus Euagathis Szépligeti, 1900 (Braconidae: Bassinae (= Agathidinae)) from the Greater and Lesser Sunda Islands (including West Malaysia) are revised and keyed. The subfamily name Bassinae Nees, 1812, is used because it is senior to the commonly used subfamily name Agathidinae Nees, 1814. Twenty-two species are recognized, of which nine are new. The genus Holcotroticus Cameron, 1902, is synonymized with Euagathis Szepligeti, 1900, and Euagathis ruficollis (Cameron, 1902) is a new combination. The following species are synonymized: Euagathis pilosa Szépligeti, 1902, and E. creophora Cameron, 1905, with E. clathrata (Brullé, 1846); E. rufonigra Enderlein, 1920, with E. ruficollis (Cameron, 1902); Euagathis variabilis Enderlein, 1920,...

A new species of Lopaphus Westwood, described from Borneo (Insecta: Phasmida: Heteronemiidae: Necrosciinae) Naturalis
Bragg, P.E..
The genus Lopaphus is recorded from Borneo for the first time. The species, L. borneensis spec. nov. is described from a series of seven males and five females which were collected in Kalimantan in 1925, two specimens from Sabah, a female collected in 1986 and a male in 1987, and a male which was collected by the author in Brunei in 1991. The female resembles L. brachypterus (de Haan) but is more slender and is readily distinguished by the shape of the mesonotum. The male, female and egg are all illustrated. A modification of Redtenbacher's key to the genus is provided.

A new species of Phenacephorus from Kalimantan (Insecta: Phasmida: Heteronemiidae: Lonchodinae) Naturalis
Bragg, P.E..
Phenacephorus parahaematomus spec. nov. is described and illustrated. The species is based on two male specimens which were collected in Borneo in 1925. The stout spines on the metanotum and general form closely resembles Lonchodes haematomus Westwood but P. parahaematomus has a spinose mound on the back of the head and spines on the pronotum and abdominal segments. Some new distribution data is given for Phenacephorus auriculatus (Brunner), and the egg is described and illustrated.
