Emersonella Girault, 1916 is a wasp genus including species that parasitize Chrysomelidae (Coleoptera) eggs, mainly Cassidinae. It occurs only in the Americas, and is primarily distributed in the Neotropical Region. In this paper two new species of Emersonella from the Atlantic Forest of southeastern Brazil are described and compared to similar species. Emersonella appendigastersp. nov. is characterized by an elongate last gastral tergite in female, thoracic dorsum flat, femora and tibiae yellowish in female, malar sulcus absent, frontal suture slightly down-curved laterally, eyes with scattered hairs, frons and vertex smooth, and propodeum smooth with small anteromedian foveae. Gratiana boliviana Spaeth, 1926 is redescribed, compared with G. conformis (Boheman, 1854), G. graminea (Klug, 1829), G. insculpta (Boheman, 1855), G. inurbana Weise, 1921, G. lutescens (Boheman, 1854), G. pallidula (Boheman, 1854) and G. spadicea (Klug, 1829). The host plant of G. boliviana is Solanum viarum Dun (Solanaceae). |

Eggs, fifth instar larvae and pupae of A. dubia (Boheman, 1854), A. fuscata (Klug, 1829), A. languida (Boheman, 1854), A. phaeopoda Buzzi, 1976 and A. punctulata (Klug, 1829) are described. Imatures stages were reared in a stove Biometron under temperature of 25±2ºC, photophase of 12 hours and relative humidity of 80±5%. The larvae of A. dubia and A. languida were fed with leaves of Baccharis relusa DC; A. fuscata with leaves of Baccharidastrum argutum (Less) Cabrera; A. phaeopoda with leaves of Baccharis gaudichaudiana DC. and larvae of A. punctulata with leaves of Baccharis trimera (Less) A.
