Two new species of the genus Foenomorpha Szépligeti, 1904, are described (F. rufa spec. nov. from Brazil and F. senlura spec. nov. from French Guiana). A key to the known species is added and notes on the other two species are added. Foenomorpha filicornis (Cameron, 1887) is a new combination for Cenocoelius filicornis Cameron. An aberrant group of Chelonus with very slender antennal segments and a protuberant scutellum from French Guiana and Suriname is described and included in the new subgenus Baculonus (type species: C. pachytellus spec. nov.). Epsilogaster palenque Whitfield & Mason, 1994, is reported for the first time from Costa Rica.

The type-series of the taxa of the family Braconidae described by A.H. Haliday (1806-1870) are reviewed, 99 lectotypes are designated, 24 new synonyms and 22 new combinations are given. The genus Atopandrium Graham, 1952 (Alysiinae: Alysiini) is synonymized with Aphaereta Foerster, 1862, Wachsmannia Szépligeti, (September) 1900 (Doryctinae: Doryctini) with Hypodoryctes Kokujev, (August) 1900, and Promachus Cresson, 1887 nec Loew, 1848 (Cenocoeliinae) with Cenocoelius Haliday, 1840. Atopandrium loripenne Graham, 1952, and Trisynaldis conflucta Fischer, 1958, are synonymized with Aphaereta debilitata Morley, 1933. Aphaereta palea (Papp, 1990), Hypodoryctes spathiiformis (Ratzeburg, 1848), and Cenocoelius aartseni (van Achterberg, 1994) are new combinations. A lectotype is designated for Aphaereta debilitata Morley, 1933.

The genera of the subfamily Cenocoeliinae Szépligeti are revised, keyed and illustrated. The genera Capitonius Brullé, 1846, Aulacodes Cresson, 1865, Lestricus Reinhard, 1866, Promachus Cresson, 1887, and Evaniomorpha Szépligeti, 1901, are re-instated. One new genus is described and illustrated: Rattana (type species: Cenocoelius albopilosellus Cameron, 1901) from Sulawesi, Misoöl, and New Guinea. The genus Ussurohelcon Belokobylskij, 1989, is transferred from the Helconinae to the Cenocoeliinae and placed in the new tribe Ussurohelconini. Six new species of Braconidae from Sulawesi and Sula Islands (East Indonesia) are described and partly illustrated: Conobregma sulaensis spec. nov. from Taliabu and Mangole (Sula Islands); Ecnomios brevitarsus spec. nov., and E. yasiri spec. nov. from SW Sulawesi; Homolobus (Apatia) celebensis spec. nov. from SW Sulawesi; Rattana nigriscapa spec. nov. from Mangole (Sula Islands); and Sigalphus chrysopharus spec. nov. from SW Sulawesi. In addition one species, Ecnomios infuscatus spec. nov. is described from Lombok.
