| ABSTRACT: In alkalinized and Ca-rich composts, solubilization of apatite from phosphate rocks (PRs) is not guaranteed; however, chelating agents and humified substances produced during composting may alter the soluble contents and P forms of monoammonium phosphate (MAP)-based composts. These effects may depend on the proportions of organic wastes and P source used in the compost piles. | Growing sugarcane (K95-84) on coarse-textured, Satuk soil (Typic Paleustult) in farmer’s field of Sikhiu district, Nakhon Ratchasima province, was aimed at examining the effect of rice husk-mixed chicken manure and Zn, Fe foliar application on cane yield and nutrient concentration in leaf of the plant. | Five organic soil amendments were evaluated for their nematicide effect on root-knot Meloidogyne ethiopica Whitehead, 1968, on potted Vitis vinifera L. var. Chardonnay plants. The amendments included two immature composts: Compost A made with tea (Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze) residues, broiler litter and grape pomace; Compost B made with tea residues, rachis and grape pomace; and separately dried tea residues, grape pomace and broiler litter.
