Annual evolution of global, direct and diffuse radiation and fractions in tilted surfaces REA
Souza,Adilson P. de; Escobedo,João F.; Dal Pai,Alexandre; Gomes,Eduardo N..
It was evaluated the annual evolution of global, direct and diffuse components of incident solar radiation on tilted surfaces to 12.85, 22.85 and 32.85º, facing north, in Botucatu, state of São Paulo, Brazil. The radiometric fractions were obtained for each component of the radiation in the aforementioned surfaces, through the ratio with the global and top of the atmosphere radiations. Seasonality was evaluated based on monthly averages of daily values. The measures occurred between 04/1998 and 07/2001 at 22.85º; 08/2001 and 02/2003 at 12.85º; and from 03/2003 to 12/2007 at 32.85º, with concomitant measures in the horizontal surface (reference). The levels of global and direct radiation on tilted surfaces were lower in summer and higher in the equinoxes...

Influence du climat sur le recrutement et sur la production d'huîtres cultivées (Crassostrea angulata et Crassostrea gigas) dans le bassin de Marennes-Oléron (France) ArchiMer
Heral, Maurice; Deslous-paoli, Jean-marc; Prou, Jean.
Recruitment, marketed yield and cultivated biomasses of oysters Crassostrea angulata and Crassostrea gigas are compared to climatic indices for the period 1885-1984. Temperature plays a role up on the date of spawning but explains only partially the failure of recruitment, which has less influence on the marketed yield than on the total biomass Contrary to the sensitivity of wild molluscan stocks to climatic conditions, yield and biomass of these cultivated stocks are not hightly correlated to the annual and seasonal indices of rainfall and air temperature.

AGROCLIMATIC ZONING OF EUROPEAN AND ASIAN PEAR CULTIVARS WITH POTENTIAL FOR COMMERCIAL PLANTING IN SOUTHERN BRAZIL Rev. Bras. Frutic.
WREGE,MARCOS SILVEIRA; FAORO,IVAN DAGOBERTO; HERTER,FLÁVIO GILBERTO; PANDOLFO,CRISTINA; ALMEIDA,IVAN RODRIGUES DE; ALBA,JOSÉ MARIA FILIPPINI; PEREIRA,JOSÉ FRANCISCO MARTINS.
ABSTRACT Pear is among the fruits of major commercial interest in the world and one of the most imported in Brazil. Brazilian production is very small and the fruit quality is low, due to production problems. The success of culture in the country, among other factors, may be linked to the choice of cultivars, pollinating and rootstocks better adapted to local conditions, and thus depend on the particulars of an agricultural zoning. The aim of this study was to identify, in southern Brazil, homogeneous climatic zones with potential for growing of European and Asian pears, through climate risk studies. The regions were defined by the seasonal availability of chilling hours (<7.2 °C) accumulated during the period from May to September and the monthly risk...

Mapping of the time available for application of pesticides in the state of Paraná, Brazil Agronomy
Silva, Alessandra Fagioli da; Oliveira, Rone Batista de; Gandolfo, Marco Antonio.
Spraying practices are highly sensitive to variations in climatic conditions, so it the spatial variability of the number of monthly hours available for the application of pesticides in the state of Paraná, Brazil, was determined and analyzed. An hourly time series of the climatic data obtained from 54 meteorological stations from the Paraná, for the years 2004-2014 was analyzed. To determine the number of monthly hours available to perform the applications, the following conditions were established: temperature < 30°C, relative air humidity > 55%, wind speed between 3 and 12 km h-1, and rainfall less than 0.2 mm h-1. After being cross-referenced, these data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and geostatistics. A high variability of...

Growing Princesa apples under semiarid conditions in northeastern Brazil - doi: 10.4025/actasciagron.v35i1.15066 Agronomy
Lopes, Paulo Roberto Coelho; Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária; Oliveira, Inez Vilar de Morais; Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária; Silva, Raissa Rachel Salustriano da; Universidade Federal do Piauí; Cavalcante, ìtalo Herbert Lucena; Universidade Federal do Piauí.
Phenological observations are some of the most sensitive data for the identification of plant species growth in regional climate conditions. Thus, an experiment was conducted from October 2008 to December 2009 to characterize the phenological stages, fruit set and fruit yield of Princesa apples grown under a semiarid climate in northeastern Brazil. Phenological data (stages) were determined in the orchard by daily observations from bud breaking until fruit ripening. The following variables were evaluated: i) fruit set, which is the relation between the number of flowers and the number of fruits (%); ii) the number of fruit per plant; iii) the fruit production per plant (kg); and iv) the fruit yield (t ha-1). Under semiarid conditions, the phenological...

Pollination of Rapeseed (Brassica napus) by Africanized Honeybees (Hymenoptera: Apidae) on Two Sowing Dates Anais da ABC (AABC)
CHAMBÓ,EMERSON D.; OLIVEIRA,NEWTON T.E. DE; GARCIA,REGINA C.; DUARTE-JÚNIOR,JOSÉ B.; RUVOLO-TAKASUSUKI,MARIA CLAUDIA C.; TOLEDO,VAGNER A..
In this study, performed in the western part of the state of Paraná, Brazil, two self-fertile hybrid commercial rapeseed genotypes were evaluated for yield components and physiological quality using three pollination tests and spanning two sowing dates. The treatments consisted of combinations of two rapeseed genotypes (Hyola 61 and Hyola 433), three pollination tests (uncovered area, covered area without insects and covered area containing a single colony of Africanized Apis melliferahoneybees) and two sowing dates (May 25th, 2011 and June 25th, 2011). The presence of Africanized honeybees during flowering time increased the productivity of the rapeseed. Losses in the productivity of the hybrids caused by weather conditions unfavorable for rapeseed...
