Sumatran Fleabane Control using Glyphosate in Association with Halauxifen-Methyl Formulations Planta Daninha
ZOBIOLE,L.H.S.; KRENCHINSKI,F.H.; MORATELLI,G.; COSTA,N.V..
ABSTRACT: The effectiveness of a new product has a great importance to weed control, especially those that are difficult to control or resistant to, such as the sumatran fleabane (Conyza sumatrensis). The objective of this research was to evaluate the control of C. sumatrensis at different growth stages, using halauxifen-methyl in combination with other herbicides. The experimental design used was a randomized blocks in a 3x10 factorial scheme, with four replications. The plants of C. sumatrensis were evaluated at different growth: stage 1: plants with 8 leaves; Stage 2: plants with 19 leaves and stage 3: plants with 45 leaves fully expanded. The herbicides used were the association of glyphosate with the herbicides 2,4-D at 806, 943 and 1,209 g a.e. ha-1,...

Occurrence of Horseweed Biotypes with Low Susceptibility to Glyphosate in the States of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil Planta Daninha
RIZZARDI,M.A.; SCHNEIDER,T.; BIANCHI,M.A.; ROCKENBACH,A.P..
ABSTRACT: Horseweed is an annual cycle weed naturally controlled by the herbicide glyphosate. However, the continued use of this product has selected tolerant and resistant populations. The objective of this study is to analyze the occurrence of horseweed biotypes with a low glyphosate susceptibility in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul. Seeds of horseweed plants (Conyzaspp.) that survived glyphosate applications were collected in RR soybean crops, totaling 137 samples from 37 municipalities. The seeds of the biotypes were sown, and the plants originated from them, when they reached the stage of four to six leaves, were subjected to a treatment with 1,440ga.e.ha-1 of glyphosate. According to the results, 108biotypes were not...

Influence of Adjuvants on the Surface Tension, Deposition and Effectiveness of Herbicides on Fleabane Plants Planta Daninha
CASTRO,E.B.; CARBONARI,C.A.; VELINI,E.D.; GOMES,G.L.G.C.; BELAPART,D..
ABSTRACT: The use of herbicides is widespread in weed management, and adjuvants are added to the spray solution to improve the effectiveness of applications. The goal was to evaluate the influence of adjuvants added to the herbicides saflufenacil and glyphosate, isolated or in combination, and the effects on the surface tension, deposition and effectiveness in post-emergence applications to control Conyza sumatrensis. Experiments were conducted completely randomized experimental design to evaluate surface tension (TS), deposition and herbicide effectiveness. The treatments were glyphosate, glyphosate + saflufenacil and saflufenacil with or without the adjuvants Natur’al óleo®, Assist®, Aterbane®, Sillwet L-77 and Dash HC® (surface tension). For the...

Managing glyphosate-resistant weeds with cover crop associated with herbicide rotation and mixture Ciência e Agrotecnologia
Marochi,Aroldo; Ferreira,Antonio; Takano,Hudson Kagueyama; Oliveira Junior,Rubem Silvério; Ovejero,Ramiro Fernando Lopez.
ABSTRACT Herbicide resistance has become a major concern for agricultural systems, and integrating weed management practices seem to be the most promise way for its mitigation. The effects of cropping systems including ruzigrass (Urochloa ruziziensis) associated with herbicide rotation programs were evaluated for the management of glyphosate resistant conyza (Conyza sumatrensis) and sourgrass (Digitaria insularis) in soybean and corn production systems. A 3x3 factorial was evaluated in four consecutive soybean (spring-summer) and corn (fall-winter) double cropping seasons. Factor A consisted of three combinations of cropping systems in the fall-winter: corn, corn plus ruzigrass, and ruzigrass alone. Factor B was based on increasing levels of diversity in...
