Host specificity and phylogenetic relationships among Atlantic Ovulidae (Mollusca: Gastropoda) Naturalis
Reijnen, B.T.; Hoeksema, B.W.; Gittenberger, E..
Ovulid gastropods and their octocoral hosts were collected along the leeward coast of Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. New molecular data of Caribbean and a single Atlantic species were combined with comparable data of Indo-Pacific Ovulidae and a single East-Pacific species from GenBank. Based on two DNA markers, viz. CO-I and 16S, the phylogenetic relationships among all ovulid species of which these data are available are reconstructed. The provisional results suggest a dichotomy between the Atlantic and the Indo-Pacific taxa. Fully grown Simnialena uniplicata closely resembles juvenile Cyphoma gibbosum conchologically. Cymbovula acicularis and C. bahamaensis might be synonyms. The assignments of Caribbean host species for Cyphoma gibbosum, C....

Pseudoscorpions of the genus Aphelolpium (Pseudoscorpionida, Olpiidae) from Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire Naturalis
Tooren, D. van den.
Tooren, D. van den, 1995. Pseudoscorpions of the genus Aphelolpium (Pseudoscorpionida, Olpiidae) from Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire. Studies Nat. Hist. Caribbean Region 72. Amsterdam, 1995: 69-97. A large number of new localities of the pseudoscorpion Aphelolpium scitulum Hoff, 1964 from Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire, are reported. The great intraspecific variation in material of this species from Curacao and Aruba has been documented. A second species has been recognized: A. brachytarsus sp. Nov., occurring on Aruba.

Pycnogonida collected in interstitia of coral sand and rubble in the Netherlands Antilles. Amsterdam Expeditions to the West Indian Islands, Report 58 Naturalis
Stock, Jan H..
Seven species of Pycnogonida are recorded from the islands of Curaçao and Bonaire, living in coral debris (sand, rubble), often quite deep (40—80 cm) in the sediment. Two species (both new) occur in larger numbers and are considered truly interstitial. The others possibly are only accidental in this kind of habitat.

New records of Xestospongia species (Haplosclerida: Petrosiidae) from the Curaçao reefs, with a description of a new species Naturalis
Soest, R.W.M. van; Weerdt, W.H. de.
Three species of the sponge genus Xestospongia (Haplosclerida) are newly recorded for the south Caribbean island of Curaçao, Xestospongia arenosa n. sp., X. caminata Pulitzer-Finali (1986) and X. deweerdtae Lehnert & Van Soest (1999). The species are described and compared with Xestospongia species already known from Curaçao and other Caribbean localities. A key to the Curaçao species of Xestospongia is provided.

About the malacological subdivision of Curaçao; a review Naturalis
Wagenaar Hummelinck, P..
Burrington Baker (1924) states that Curaçao can be divided into three distinct faunal areas. Stock (1977) mentions the occurrence of three subspecies of hadziid amphipods almost exclusively confined to different parts of Curaçao. The results of a study of the distribution on this island of various subspecies of the gastropods Cerion uva, Brachypodella raveni, Tudora megacheilos and T. rupis, however, do not support the hypothesis of a tripartite Curaçao.
