The unsuitable storage conditions and the type of date pack are one of the most important problems in the palm industry. In this research, two date cultivars Kabkab and Khasoui, microalgae with the name of Chlorella vulgaris at four levels , 0, 25, 50 and 100% and time of storage in three levels 1, 2 and three mounts (90 days) were carried out as factorial experiment in a completely randomized design with three replications. Dry weight, moisture content, pH and rate of decay of fruits of both cultivars were measured in every 30 days. Based on the results, the effect of microalgae and different months sampling for all traits were significant at (p ≤ 0.01) level. The effects of Chlorella vulgaris at 25% level was higher than the other concentrations on the... |

Blyth’s Catalogue is sometimes cited from 1849 and sometimes from 1852. Both dates can be found in Peters’s Check-list, each, in different volumes, appearing to be accepted. Consequently and inconsistently both are found in other works. The cover is dated 1849. The evidence, however, shows that while much was printed in 1849 publication was not before September 1852. Meanwhile Blyth’s ’Supplemental Note’ appeared in 1849. Most of the new taxa described in that were described then to ensure that Blyth’s names, already in his proof sheets for his Catalogue, obtained priority. In Peters’s Check-list most of these names have been cited correctly, i.e. from his Supplemental Note. However, a few exceptions need attention and their dates need to be corrected in... |

Ornithological literature has been extremely inconsistent in assigning authorship for the new names proposed in ‘A Catalogue of the Birds in The Museum of the Hon. East-India Company’ by Horsfield & Moore, or by Moore in parallel to it. The corrected dates of separate publications by Moore and the ICZN Code allow all assignments to be resolved. Hodgson should never be cited for a new name in this work. All but six taxa are attributable to Moore alone, five to Horsfield & Moore and one taxon, Acanthis flavirostris brevirostris although described by Moore, was described by Bonaparte a few months earlier. The contents are set out to show which families were covered by this unfinished work. Evidence is also presented to show that volume 2 appeared as a... |
