Abstract This study presents a system to electro-neutralize agrochemicals in food and water samples based on the properties of a controlled electron trap, the related apparatus is protected under patent application (WO/2018/090110; INPI: BR 10 2016 0268486) / (PCT / BR 2017/050115). The efficacy of the system was verified as to the type, quantity, surface tension charge, temperature, pH and static energy loading of the electrolyte for both solid and liquid samples. It also took into consideration the retention and accumulation measurement of electric charges, verification of electrical potential differences and also accumulation by applying pulsed high voltage in according to the Daniell Cell method. The proposed technology is able to provide the...

The efficiency of electrocoagulation using aluminum electrodesin treating wastewater from a dairy industry Ciência Rural
Valente,Gerson de Freitas Silva; Mendonça,Regina Célia Santos; Pereira,José Antônio Marques.
This research deals with the investigation of electrocoagulation (EC) treatment of wastewater from a dairy plant using aluminum electrodes. Electrolysis time, pH, current density and distance between electrodes were considered to assess the removal efficiency of chemical oxygen demand (COD), total solids (TS) and their fractions and turbidity. Samples were collected from the effluent of a dairy plant using a sampling methodology proportional to the flow. The treatments were applied according to design factorial of half fraction with two levels of treatments and 3 repetitions at the central point. The optimization of parameters for treating dairy industry effluent by electrocoagulation using aluminum electrodes showed that electric current application for...

The present study investigated the effect of electrolysis on the biomineralization capacities of juveniles of the mollusk Pinctada margaritifera for the first time. Size-selected individuals from two groups, “Medium” and “Large”, from a multi-parental family produced in a hatchery system were subjected to electrolysis under a low voltage current over a nine-week experimental period. The growth of the juveniles was individually monitored and assessed weekly by wet weight and shell height measurements. At the end of the experiment, mantle tissue was sampled for biomineralization-related gene expression analysis. Electrolysis significantly increased pearl oyster growth in terms of shell height and wet weight for Large juveniles from the 5th and the 2nd week,...
