| The melon is a vegetable much appreciated in the feeding of Brazilians, and this culture has two main botanical groups, Inodorus and Reticulatus, which have different characteristics that complement each other. The objective of this work was to carry out the qualitative morphological characterization of the progenies of half brothers of meloeiro. Were evaluated 100 progenies of half-brothers of melon, by crossing the varieties Amarelo Ouro x Hale's Best, belonging to the groups Valenciano (Inodorus) and American (Reticulatus), respectively.
