El propósito fundamental del presente trabajo fue la de adentrarse, en la medida de lo posible, a la interpretación que campesinos de cuatro comunidades consideradas como de Alta Marginación en Atzizihuacan, Puebla hacen sobre los procesos de desarrollo propios de su región. Intentando a través de la identificación de las atribuciones hechas, determinar qué tan capaces se visualizan a ellos mismos como promotores de procesos de desarrollo endógeno en sus comunidades. La mayoría de las atribuciones hechas por los campesinos mostraron un Locus de Control externo tal como se esperaba. Esses relatos podem tanto retratar as reminiscências de antigos moradores como exprimir o que as gerações que estão entrando agora no processo produtivo pensam de sua prática.
