Este trabalho teve por objetivo estudar a distribuição de formas não-trocáveis de potássio, em frações texturais de um Latossolo cultivado com bananeira, por dois anos, em dois regimes hídricos (parcelas principais), e doses de potássio (0, 300, 600 e 900 kg há-1) (subparcelas), seguindo delineamento em blocos casualizados, com parcelas subdivididas. Verificou-se que os maiores teores de potássio (trocável e não-trocável) estão contidos nas frações mais finas: argila e silte. Neste sistema de cultivo e com a aplicação dos adubos na superfície, a movimentação do nutriente, nas camadas estudadas, esteve associada à presença e movimentação da água no perfil do solo. ABSTRACT: Ruzigrass (Urochola ruziziensis) has a large capacity to take up K from the soil, including non-exchangeable forms, and can play an important role in nutrient cycling in integrated production systems. However, K transport to roots of brachiarias is not well known, nor the nutrient dynamics in the rhizosphere, where a concentration gradient may be established towards the non-rhizospheric soil, creating a favorable environment for the release of non-exchangeable K. ABSTRACT Intense cropping of plants in pots was used to assess the contribution of non-exchangeable K to plant uptake in different soils of Paraná State, Brazil. Surface samples from nine soil types were fertilized or not with K fertilizer and subjected to six successive cropping (i.e., soybean, pearl millet, wheat, common beans, soybean and maize) under greenhouse conditions. The crops were grown in 8-L pots for 45 days, and at the end of the sixth cropping, the soil was sampled to determination non-exchangeable and exchangeable K.
