ABSTRACT To improve the conveying efficiency and working stability of a screw conveyor, the feeding methods, running conditions and flow characteristics of materials were studied by theoretical analysis and experiments. The theoretical analysis results show that the screw conveyor runs more stably when the helix angle of the screw blade is equal to the moving helical angle. A new spring-finger was designed by us and was used in the experiment. The experimental results show prove that the spring-finger feeder can help homogeneously and continuously to feed the screw conveyor and to improve the working stability of the screw conveyor. On the experimental study of the flow around a fishing net ArchiMer

Selectivity of fishing gears like trawls is obviously conditioned by the fish behaviour but also by the net and the flow. As well, flow may affect fish behaviour. With the aim of a better understanding of the flow in presence of a net and a catch, we suggest, through the experimental study below, to determine and to analyze the flow over a rigid cod-end in two configurations: with a closed and an open net entrance. Trials took place in a free surface flume tank and the flow characteristics were determined from velocity measurements obtained by laser velocimetry (inside, outside and through the meshes of the stiff cod-end). The experimental device, the measures and their analyzes are given here.

EFFECTS OF SODIUM CYCLAMATE IN KIDNEYS OF RATS FETUSES: A MORPHOMETRIC STUDY International Journal of Morphology

The cyclamate is used as artificial non-caloric sweetner in a wide variety of foods and beverages, being 30 times as sweet as sugar without the bitter after-taste of saccharin. It appears in the composition of the products as sodium and calcium cyclamates and cyclamic acid. The purpose of this research was to assess the effect of sodium cyclamate in kidneys of rats fetuses considering morphometric changes of glomerulus, proximal and distal convoluted tubules, and collecting duct. Ten pregnant rat (Rattus norvegicus) weighting an average of 238 g were divided into two groups: 5 in the control group and 5 in treated group with sodium cyclamate. Cereal quality preservation is traditionally the accountability of grain storekeepers who count on profound knowledge discovered through scientific research. The main purpose of this research study was to predict the evolution of wheat temperature in unaerated silo during storage period under Tunisia climate. High-speed photographic analysis of the influences of rake angle on the soil crushing of deep loosening CIGR Journal

Rake angle is a key parameter of subsoiler structural design and has important impacts on subsoiler performance. In this study, the high-speed photographic technique is used to understand the mechanisms by which the rake angle of an arrow subsoiler (angles of 18°, 23°, and 28°) impacts soil crushing. The following results were obtained. (1) Rake angle is the main factor that influences the soil crushing process. Changing the rake angle can induce changes in the interactions between the subsoiler and soil, impacting soil crushing performance. (2) Rake angle has important impacts on the soil disturbance state.
