This thesis is part of the ATLANTILES program, which seeks to study the interactions between small-scale fishing, the historic sector of the archipelago of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon (SPM), and tourism, emerging sector. This work explores the ways in which seafood products from artisanal PMS fishing can be exploited on the local market. For this, it is organized in several parts. The first part presents the socio-demographic context of the archipelago and its influence on the local fishing sector. It highlights the important impact of COM status and the geographical position of the territory on the MPS fisheries sector. The second part of the paper introduces the characteristics of the local artisanal fishery and attempts to understand its interactions with... |

The point of interest in this work is the dynamics of the small property through a filière analysis, identifying the internal and external relationships by the aggregation of value in each chain, besides calculating its contribution to the total value aggregation. Seeking to obtaining results, a case study was carried out and an input-product matrix was structured, using production values of a small property (12 ha). As a result, the property was found to be inserted in three filières (soy, milk and swine production), demonstrating the characteristic change of self-sufficiency for the integration in production chains. In the value aggregation (of total production) originating from the property (R$ 3.044.570), resulting in a final product of R$ 1.278.925,... |

This article aims to study the implications that result from the purpose differences between the biodynamic rice producer systems and the industry of this product in the filière structure. The theoretical approach includes system comprehension and the company vision in the systemic approach, while focusing on the purpose of productive systems according to three possible axles: economic, financial and social. An approach on filière helps in the visualization of the impacts the purpose that system differences studied have on the supplying and industrialization structure of biodynamic rice. A descriptive-comparative research was undertaken based on primary data obtained with the companies and through interviews with owners and managers contacted and on... |
