| Plants are photoautotrophic organisms being able to synthesize all metabolites and macro-molecules on the basis of light, CO2, H2O and 14 inorganic elements taken up from the soil. As plants are confined to the environment in which they germinate, this means that the plant ionome, metabolome and proteome are heavily influenced by soil mineralogy, climate and not least agricultural management. | From 12 to 14 February, the Louis Bolk Instituut organised the 3rd annual QLIF workshop, titled "Measuring food quality, concepts, methods and challenges”. During these days a diverse and intensive program was presented. Participants came from, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Turkey. | Im Bundesprogramm Ökologischer Landbau sind die bedeutsamsten Wachstumshemmnisse identifiziert, die einer Ausdehnung des Ökologischen Landbaus auf 20% im Jahr 2010 entgegenstehen. | Das Projekt „DNR-Bildungsinitiative Ökologischer Landbau – Gesunde Ernährung 2006/2007“ will die aktuellen Erkenntnisse zum Ökologischen Landbau an die Basis der Umwelt- und Naturschutzgruppen zu bringen.
