Phosphorus use in soybean in integrated production system under anticipation of phosphate fertilization Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Guera,Keli Cristina Silva; Fonseca,Adriel Ferreira da; Harkatin,Silvano.
ABSTRACT Conservation agriculture practices, such as integrated crop-livestock system (ICLS), can result in efficiency of phosphorus use and, economic and environmental benefits. The higher nutrient cycling, deposited crop and animal residues in the soil surface can promote the maintenance of soil fertility. Thus, the anticipated of phosphate fertilization may be a viable strategy of fertilization for soybean crop, in this system. The objective of this work was to determine the yield, accumulation of P and phosphorus use efficiency (PUE) on the dry biomass and grains of the soybean crop, in an integrated crop-livestock system (ICLS) due to anticipated fertilization of sources and doses phosphates annually applied in the soil surface. The experiment was...

Grain yield, efficiency and the allocation of foliar N applied to soybean canopies Scientia Agricola
Oliveira,Silas Maciel de; Pierozan Junior,Clovis; Lago,Bruno Cocco; Almeida,Rodrigo Estevam Munhoz de; Trivelin,Paulo Cesar Ocheuze; Favarin,José Laércio.
ABSTRACT: Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] grain yield is closely associated with the level of optimal nitrogen (N) supply, especially during the reproductive stages. Foliar fertilization with low rates of N have been considered as a strategy for furnishing additional N and enhancing grain yields. Field studies using 15N tracer were conducted over two growing seasons to investigate the impact of foliar N fertilization on grain yield, plant N content, the amount of N derived from fertilizer (NDFF) and N recovery efficiency (NRE). Four foliar N rates (0, 1300, 2600 and 3900 g ha−1) were supplied by two equal split applications at the R1 and R3 stages. Foliar N fertilization of soybean canopies did not affect grain yield, grain N content, shoot N content nor...

Soil chemical attributes and energetic potential of agricultural residual biomasses provided by 23-year soil management Bragantia
Pierri,Letícia de; Pauletti,Volnei; Barth,Gabriel; Motta,Antônio Carlos Vargas; Silva,Dimas Agostinho da; Roza,Luciano Antunes da; Saudade,Cesar Augusto Schmid.
ABSTRACT Residual biomass from grains has potential as an energetic source. Biomass composition determines this potential and is related to plant nutrition, which may vary according to soil fertility. The aim of this 23-year field study was to evaluate changes in chemical attributes of a Brazilian Oxisol and in the energetic potential of oat (Avena sativa L.) and soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr) residual biomasses provided by tillage systems and fertilizer rates. The trial was performed since 1989, assessing soil chemical attributes in no-tillage (NT), conventional (CT), minimum (MT) and no-tillage plus chisel plough (NT+CP), with two fertilizer rates (normal and reduced, since 1994). Oat and soybean (2012/2013) residual biomasses were collected and...

Enteromorpha intestinalis Derived Seaweed Liquid Fertilizers as Prospective Biostimulant for Glycine max BABT
Mathur,Chetna; Rai,Saumya; Sase,Nikhil; Krish,Suthindhiran; Jayasri,Mangalam Achuthanandam.
ABSTRACT In the present study, the potential of seaweed liquid fertilizer (SLF) of marine algae Enteromorpha intestinalis was evaluated for its effect on seed germination, yield, biochemical parameters and pigment characteristics of Glycine maxE. intestinalis was collected form Mandapam coast of Gulf of Mannar, Tamil Nadu, and the dried seaweeds were used for the preparation of SLF. G. max seeds were germinated with four different concentrations (20, 40, 60, and 100%) of SLF; its growth and yield parameters were evaluated and compared with chemical fertilizer and control. The morphological and bio-chemical parameters such as seed germination (100%), root (6.6cm) and shoot length (5.4 cm), carbohydrates (0.098 mg/g), protein (0.56 mg/g), pigment (0.444 mg/g...

Energy flows in lowland soybean production system in Brazil Ciência Rural
Andrea,Maria Carolina da Silva; Romanelli,Thiago Libório; Molin,José Paulo.
ABSTRACT: Soybean is the main product of Brazilian agribusiness, both production and income. Considering the increase in food and energy demand and the search for more sustainable production systems, this study aimed to analyze inputs and energy use of a possible area of expansion of soybean production: a system under sub irrigation management located in a lowland area of Cerrado biome, northern region of Brazil. Its environmental performance was compared to other Brazilian locations among them traditionally soybean producers. The evaluation and comparison was made through material and energy flow tools in order to determine the inputs embodied per area, as well as energy demand, availability and efficiency in the analyzed production system. Energy demand...

Atributos físicos e desempenho agronômico da cultura da soja em um Latossolo Vermelho distroférrico submetido a dois sistemas de manejos Ciência e Agrotecnologia
Souza,Fábio Régis; Rosa Junior,Edgard Jardim; Fietz,Carlos Ricardo; Bergamin,Anderson Cristian; Venturoso,Luciano dos Reis; Rosa,Yara Brito Chaim Jardim.
