O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos da interação genótipo por ambiente na produtividade de grãos em linhagens e cultivares de feijoeiro, com a finalidade de orientar programas de melhoramento visando ao desenvolvimento de cultivares superiores. No ano agrícola 2005/2006, foi estabelecido um ensaio, na safra das águas e da seca, em três Estações Experimentais do Iapar, num total de seis ambientes. O delineamento utilizado foi o de blocos ao acaso, com 20 tratamentos e três repetições. Plant population and arrangement should be properly designed to maximize the seed yield of short-height genotypes of castor (Ricinus communis L.) in each cropping season. Experiments were performed in the in the fall-winter cropping season of 2008 and 2009 in Botucatu, State of São Paulo, Brazil, to evaluate the effects of row spacing (0.45, 0.60, 0.75, and 0.90 m) and plant population (25,000, 40,000, 55,000, and 70,000 plants ha-1) on agronomical traits, yield components, seed yield, and oil yield of the genotype FCA-PB. ABSTRACT An experiment was conducted to examine the influencing characters on rice by using 64 rice genotypes, including four local landraces, four released cultivars and 56 mutant lines (M5) derived from these genotypes, with application of the genotype by trait (GT) biplot methodology. The first two principal components (PC1 and PC2) accounted for 46.6% of total variation in 64 genotypes. The polygon view of GT biplot suggested seven sections for 64 genotypes. The objective of the work was to combine simultaneous selection for grain yield and technological quality in elite segregating populations of wheat developed by the breeding program of IAPAR. Thirteen populations were chosen according to their potentiality of genetic variability in the F2 generation of the 1997 crop season. This study aimed to establish the phenotypic correlations among several soybean traits with grain yield in direct and indirect effects using path analysis, and to compare alternative methods for minimizing the adverse effects of multicollinearity in estimating path coefficients. The morpho-physiologic characteristics of common bean plants can affect their competitive ability with weeds. The objective of this work was to evaluate the competitive ability of black bean genotypes with weeds. An experiment was carried out in the 2010/11 cropping season in Papanduva, SC, southern Brazil, in order to verify the variability of some plant characteristics among genotypes of common bean. The randomized block design was used, with four replications.
