| Twenty and twenty three seed provenances of Grevillea robusta A. Cunn. were imported from Australia, in 1993 and 1994, respectively, by Embrapa Florestas. This genetic germoplasm was utilized for starting a breeding program in the states of Paraná, São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul. In 2002, twenty eight genotypes were selected in the Presidente Castelo Branco-PR district whose seeds were utilized for the installing second generation progenies test in Avaré-SP. Randomized blocks was the statistical design utilized, with linear plots of five plants, adjusted in a compass 3m x 3m, with 8 replications. | Twenty one provenances of Grevillea robusta Cunn were tested at Nova Esperança and Quedas do Iguaçu, Paraná state and Anhembi, São Paulo state, Brazil. With the aim of comparing the performance of the original provenances with the comercial provenance collected in Maringa, Paraná state included as a control. Provenance trials were installed in a randomized block design with rectangular plots, each one with six plants spaced 3 m x 3 m, with 15 replications. Five among the ten best provenances at Anhembi presented better growth at Quedas do Iguaçu and Nova Esperança (Duck Creek, Fine Flower, Rappville, Bottle Creek and Mc Pherson’s Creek). | Minhocas são conhecidas por diminuir a densidade aparente e aumentar a porosidade do solo, misturar a matéria orgânica e proporcionar a agregação das partículas do solo. Dessa forma, podem ser utilizadas como indicadoras da qualidade e saúde dos solos, inclusive em sistemas silvipastoris. Assim, a finalidade deste estudo foi examinar a presença e a distribuição de minhocas, comparando uma pastagem arborizada (SSP) com Grevillea robusta plantada em renques curvilíneos com uma pastagem não-arborizada (PNA). | This study aimed to study the composition and dynamics of seed bank from soil of coffee plantations associated with grevilea trees in the experimental fields of the Southwest Bahia State University, on Vitória da Conquista campus. The experiments were carried out from September 2006 to May 2007. The coffee trees (Coffea arabica) were sown at three x one m spacing, associated with grevillea trees (Grevillea robusta) and maintained at densities of 277, 139, 123, 69, 62 and 31 plants ha-1, under direct sunlight. | Abstract In this study, the objective was to assess the influence of two doses of N (90 and 180 kg N ha-1, added to the winter pastures), two integrated crop-livestock systems (ICLS, with and without trees) and five positions between the tree rows, on the corn (Zea mays L.) quality and productivity, for silage and grain. Adopting the complete randomized block design, the treatments included three replicates. In 2006, following the 14 x 3 m spacing (currently with 158 trees ha-1) the trees were planted in 6 out of the 12 paddocks.
